2-layer parquet

Two-layer parquet consists of a wear layer and a carrier layer. The wear layer, also called the top layer, consists of a high-quality type of wood, while the backing layer is usually made of softwood or plywood. The total thickness is 11 mm. Unlike three-layer parquet, two-layer parquet cannot be laid as a floating floor, but must always be glued down over the entire surface.

Uniform wood colour and structure, radial grain without knots, any arrangement of the grain. Natural overall impression, small differences between the individual planks are visible. Permissible in this assortment are healthy point knots as long as they are not present in pairs as well as healthy, light and strongly ingrown knots with a maximum diameter of 8 mm. Sapwood, steamed wood and black knots are not permitted.

Varied wood colour and structure, natural discolouration, any arrangement of the grain. Natural and harmonious overall impression. Permissible in this assortment are healthy, light and strongly ingrown knots up to 20 mm in diameter, black knots up to 10 mm in diameter and knotholes up to 5 mm in diameter. Sapwood and steamed wood are not permitted.
